  Rental Process
Search Your Books Simply search for your books by entering the ISBN (the ISBN is a 10 or 13 digit number on the back of your book near the barcode), Title, Author, or Keyword into our search field. To insure complete accuracy, search by the ISBN if at all possible as that is the book's unique identifier and will guarantee you are ordering the correct book. Rent Your Books Select the correct book from your displayed list of choices and choose the correct textbook rental period depending on how long you will need the book (see the Rental Period information directly below). Also, select your shipping and insurance options. Then simply continue shopping for more textbooks or checkout. You will be asked to login to your account during the checkout process (see Registration below). Rental Periods We have structured our textbook rental periods to fit the needs of a college student. The last thing we want is you worrying about not getting your book back to us on time. We have incorporated, at no extra charge, a 15 day grace period which allows you to rent your book early or hold on to it late in the case of a later than normal final exam. Each rental period and our grace period are discussed in detail below. Grace Period Both of our rental periods come with a 15 (fifteen) day grace period. We've been in your shoes. Sometimes you would like to get your books early, or you need to take a make-up final exam. Our 15 day grace period allows you the flexibility to hold on to the book long enough to get you through to the bitter end. Don't hesitate to use it. That's why it's there! The grace period applies to both of the rental periods below (for example, the 130 day rental period allows a student to keep the book for 145 days if necessary at absolutely no extra cost). Semester (130 days) This rental period was designed for students attending full semesters. The rental period begins on the day your books are delivered and ends 130 (one hundred thirty) days thereafter. All textbooks rented under this rental period must be postmarked by the 130th day from the day your books were delivered, unless you are taking advantage of the 15 day grace period. See how easy the return process is in the "Return Your Books" section below. Quarter (85 days) This rental period is used mainly by students on quarters or in a Master’s program. The rental period begins on the day your books are delivered and ends 85 (eighty-five) days thereafter. All textbooks rented under this rental period must be postmarked by the 85th day from the day your books were delivered, unless you are taking advantage of the 15 day grace period. Summer (55 days) This rental period is used mainly by students taking summer courses or those taking intense (condensed) courses year round. The rental period begins on the day your books are delivered and ends 55 (fifty-five) days thereafter. All textbooks rented under this rental period must be postmarked by the 55th day from the day your books were delivered, unless you are taking advantage of the 15 day grace period. Receive Your Books After placing your order, please allow 24-48 hours for processing (excluding weekends and major holidays). Your books will be shipped from either CampusBookRentals.com’s warehouse or the warehouse of one of our suppliers to your address. Books may arrive in one or separate packages, and may or may not bear the markings of CampusBookRentals.com depending on availability. After the processing period, please allow 7-14 business days for standard shipping, 5-8 business days for expedited shipping, and 2-3 business days for 2-3 business day shipping for the arrival of your textbooks. Shipping times may vary based on weather, delivery routes, and other factors out of our control. If your book has not arrived by the expected arrival date, contact us immediately. Return Your Books IMPORTANT: all books must be returned to the CampusBookRentals.com warehouse located in Clearfield, UT. Even though your books may come from various textbook suppliers and in separate packages, they must only be returned to the CampusBookRentals.com warehouse. Disregard return labels that come in the initial shipment. Correctly returning your books is easy. Just login to your account, put a check mark next to the books you are ready to send back, and click "Return Checked". A prepaid label will be generated. Simply print it off, adhere it to your packaged books (please place all books in a single package and package them securely), and drop the package off at your nearest post office. The shipping is pre-paid by CampusBookRentals.com, so there’s no waiting in line. Just drop and go. When we receive your textbooks, your account will be updated to show the books were returned and you'll receive a confirmation email. This completes the rental cycle. Refunds, Dropped Classes, etc. Any book returned within the first 15 days after receipt of the shipment will be refunded 100% minus the shipping charges. Any book returned within 30 days will be refunded 50% minus shipping charges. Although we offer free shipping on all textbooks and discounted expedited shipping at only $4.99, when a book is returned for any reason other than an error on our part, the actual shipping costs may be assessed for the initial shipment up to $6 per book. Registration Any person wishing to rent books from Campus Book Rentals is required to create an account so that we can obtain shipping and contact information. It's absolutely free, and we keep your personal information private according to our privacy policy. Simply click on the Login button above and fill out your information in the New Customers section. |
