informative but with a hidden agenda
This book was very informative and had a lot of very current information; however, it was written and published from a very specific, "tolerate everything" mindset and may induce students to be intolerant of those whose opinions seem to be less open-minded. It's important that as we learn to be accepting of a diverse population within the U.S., that we also give grace to those who are of an older mindset. We can't force change or our beliefs on others, or we become like those mentioned in the book. We also can't be blind to the fact that some minorities in our country, though we should be open and accepting of them, may have their own hidden agenda for our country that most Americans would disagree with.
