Product Description: This all-new healthcare terminology book provides students in healthcare educational programs with the basic understanding of healthcare language they need to communicate with other members of the healthcare team. Organized by body system, each chapter consists of small learning segments or "chunks." Concepts, terms, and abbreviations for a topic are presented and then immediately followed by exercises that reinforce and assess students'' understanding and retention of the material. End-of-chapter exercises encourage students to apply what they''ve learned using case studies, medical charts, and a cumulative review that tests retained knowledge from previous chapters. Other features include threaded case studies, caution boxes, word part tables, common abbreviation boxes, career information, and Internet projects. Over 350 full-color illustrations, most original to this book, directly support the text explanations.

Instructor resources are available to qualified adopters; contact your sales representative for more information.
